Topp's roading crew have been together for just over a year now. You may have seen our men and women working around the back roads of Culverden, Hawarden, Waiau, Hanmer, Waikari and Rotherham. Working together with Sicon and the Hurunui District Council they have been part of a team that altogether has resealed or replaced approx 35 kms of the districts sealed roads. Repaired a further 9km of broken road edging or sealed roads and renewed approx 80kms of road drainage at the roadside. Approx 5000kms unsealed roads have been graded throughout the district, equivalent to driving from Auckland to Invercargill 3 times. And they have replaced or renewed approx 450 road signs and 1500 edge marker posts. As well as creating local employment. Good work team!
