This photo is of Geoff's, Great Great Grandfather Joseph Topp who lived in Medbury, Hawarden in the late 1800's. He had his own cartage and contracting business. Here he is carting wool from Glen Wye in the Lewis pass to the Culverden railway station. He had a reputation for being a very good horseman, which helped him cross the dangerous swollen rivers. So contracting and cartage goes back along way in the Topp family!
